CHICO — A short film that was shot in the Chico area in mid-2011 will have its debut Saturday at the Pageant Theatre, 351 E. Sixth St.
“Fly” was created by local independent filmmaker and writer-director Shawn Dyer and produced by Chris Madrigal and James Smith. The 25-minute short will start at 3 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door.
It is a romantic comedy about a man who one day decides he can fly. Along his journey, he meets a woman who believes she can breathe under water.
Opening for “Fly” will be two other local short films, “Ralphie” and “Ralphie II,” (2010 and 2011) directed by James Smith and written by Dyer.
